"Something Blue" reinterpreted the tradition of the bride who seeks to move away from classicism with an evocative concept, inspired by shades of grey and architectural storytelling.
Habemus del Real Klein
Real Klein is an intense colour, with a strong religious connection, created and registered by the French painter Yves Klein. It is an internationally recognised colour that marked the history of art. This reference set out to clearly evoke the image of the black-veiled bride.
The essence of the collection was built mainly through tulle draping and the complexity of manual draping, interpreted through grey and black tones. The pieces in the collection were characterised by the draped corset, with sleeves and skirts made with light, sheer tulle, following the same direction as the embroidered details. The accessories were created in real Klein, and were produced in organza, alpaca and silk thread, presenting themselves as a nod to flowers, butterflies and natural shapes.
The collection was conceived as a bridge between what the bride can and cannot wear. Mariano followed the concept of the “non-wedding” and the “spectre” of acquired historical meaning in white, creating a collection that, through its conceptual intensity, was made for every bride.
