GROUNDBREAKING

GROUNDBREAKING
GROUNDBREAKING is a haute couture bridal collection that reinterprets botany through a radically contemporary lens. Moving away from florals as mere decoration, it explores nature as a living structure defined by transformation, strength, and movement.
Inspired by the iconic line from The Devil Wears Prada—“Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking!”—the collection challenges convention and proposes a new bridal narrative: flowers that do not adorn, but construct.
True to Mariano Moreno’s creative vision, Groundbreaking fuses innovation, craftsmanship, and consciousness, elevating the wedding dress into a couture statement. Through bold structures, rich textures, and artisanal techniques, it reclaims bridal fashion as a space for sophisticated and visionary expression.
The collection features a collaboration with renowned milliner Rafa Peinador, whose headpieces seamlessly extend its creative universe. The closing look, worn by Sita Abellán—who also contributed to its creation—evokes the organic form of a bridal bouquet, while performer Hugáceo Crujiente adds a powerful theatrical dimension.
Presented at Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week, the runway is completed with jewelry by TOUS, enhancing each look and the refined narrative of the collection.
