ABOUT THE COLLECTION
"GROUNDBREAKING" is a haute couture bridal collection that reinterprets botany from a radically contemporary perspective. Far from using the flower as a decorative element or seasonal cliché, the collection is inspired by nature as a living structure, in constant transformation, strength and movement.
Taking as a reference the iconic reflection from The Devil Wears Prada, “Florals? For spring? Groundbreaking!”, the collection questions the predictable and proposes a new narrative for bridal fashion: flowers that do not adorn, but build.
Faithful to Mariano Moreno’s creative philosophy, "Groundbreaking" fuses innovation, craftsmanship and consciousness, elevating the wedding dress to the category of a haute couture piece. Through the play with structures, textures and artisanal techniques, the collection vindicates the artistic and symbolic value of bridal fashion, consolidating itself as a space for contemporary, sophisticated and visionary expression. In this same conceptual line, the collaboration of the renowned milliner Rafa Peinador has been included, whose creative vision reinterprets the bridal accessory through headpieces coherent with the universe of the collection.
In this context, the dress that closed the show in the Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week 2026 was worn by the iconic artist Sita Abellán, who has also collaborated in its creative process, evokes the organic form of a bridal bouquet and personifies one of the most symbolic rituals of the bridal universe, while the also artist and performer Hugáceo Crujiente brings a scenic dimension that reinforces the expressive character of the proposal.
To complete the show, we count on the jewellery of the prestigious firm TOUS, which accompanies us on the runway, conceived as the perfect complement to elevate each total look and the aesthetic narrative of this sophisticated collection.
