ABOUT THE COLLECTION
Mariano Moreno presented his new 2025 bridal collection, “I DO”, during Barcelona Bridal Fashion Week. The show took place on April 23, coinciding with Sant Jordi, and the collection was inspired by architecture, fused timeless elegance with the architecture of Barcelona, paying tribute both to Antoni Gaudí’s legacy on the occasion of his centenary and to the city that would become World Capital of Architecture in 2026.
The collection drew inspiration from architecture, decorative arts and materiality, merging these elements with haute couture to create unique bridal pieces. Based on Gaudí’s works and the city’s iconic buildings, such as Casa Batlló and the Sagrada Familia, “I DO” reinterpreted their organic forms, use of materials and ornamental richness. Through sculptural volumes, precise cuts and artisanal details, each design captured the majesty of Catalan modernism, transforming the essence of its architecture into wedding gowns that celebrated innovation and eternal beauty.
The collaboration with jewellery artist and artisan Areta Mata further enriched the collection with exclusive pieces that enhanced selected looks. Her creations, made with agates, bismuth, treated metals and a careful selection of minerals and precious stones evoking the construction process, brought a unique character to the collection. Every detail of these pieces reinforced the connection between fashion, architecture and art that defined “I DO.”
